Thurs Sept 21, 5-7pm WELCOME PARTY
As soon as you get situated after your arrival into St Thomas, please join the Dolphin crew for a welcome happy hour Thursday from 5 to 7pm at the Cruzan Beach Club at Secret Harbor. Free Domestic beers and well drinks for Dolphin "3-day tour" guests. They have great sunsets!
At 7pm we will head over to Duffy's Love Shack in Red Hook for another couple drinks before turning in early to get some rest for the big day #1 on Jost van Dyke.
Fri Sept 22nd, 830am breakfast, 930am departure for Jost van Dyke
Everyone please meet at Molly Molones in Red Hook no later than 8:30am. They have great breakfast with bottomless Bloody's and Mimosa's so if you want to partake early.
If you want to store extra luggage rather than lug it around, have your driver drop the bags by Tyson's house at Anna's Retreat. We can gather it back from there after our Sunday evening arrival on the way back to the hotels. Talk to me for planning here if you want to do this instead of lugging around a big back for just 2 nights worth of stuff.
We will be departing from Red Hook Mollys at 9:30am or 10am heading to Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke. There we will clear BVI customs at Great Harbor, and then boat over to White Bay where we will spend the day.
The central hangout all day is the Soggy Dollar bar. Not far down the beach to the West is One Love bar and grill. And to the East is another bar, Ivans Stress Free Bar in you feel like getting away from the crowd 9what crowd? lol)
At about 3pm everyone should start finding their way back to the boat for a 4pm departure to Tortola. Obviously, we will pull over for a 30-min swim-in stop at uninhabited Sand Cay along the way to Cane Garden Bay. Bring a beer with you while you swim up to the beach where Corona has shot some of its commercials....but don't forget to bring back the empty! Hopefully, nobody gets left behind and we head over 20 mins to Myett's at CGB to ehck in for the night.
There is a restaurant and bar there to enjoy after getting cleaned up from a long day (for those who can still "hang":).
Sat Sept 23, Smuggler's Cove, Soper's Hole, and Nanny Cay
Don't stay out too late!! The boat leaves at 9am destined for Smuggler's Cove for a swimming stop, then Pusser's at Soper's Hole (time permitting) and then around the south side of Tortola to nanny Cay by 5pm to check into the hotel there. Those who want to swim with the Dolphins can get that done in the morning at 9am and catch-up to the boat at Soper's hole or Smugglers Cove when done at noonish. They give us almost 50% off for the package there ($125to$175pp)?. But if you plan on signing up we will want to know in advance to give them notice as this is traditionally a very quiet time of year.
Once at nanny cay there are a couple places to hang out. Most notable is the beach bar at Peglegs. Great views, pool, etc. get some rest since we will get up early and head out by 9am to head over as special guests of Peter Island Resort's.
Sun Sept 24, Peter Island Resort and the Willy T
We will plan on departing by 9am (no delay-causing hangovers allowed). The owners of Peter Island Resort have graciously open their doors for Dolphin Crew and friends to visit midday (Normally only for resort guests) They are even providing an additional bartender "Captain" to handle our crowd!. This extremely exclusive private island has a nice relaxing area at Deadman's Beach.. its one of those "do not miss" resorts the magazines love to write about..
At about noon or 1pm we will depart for the Willy T at Norman Island. Hopefully, this year it will be open during the days we are there! And then eventually find our way back to Red Hook. And, after a quick pitstop for another last round of drinks at Duffys, everyone can all retire back to the hotels.
Mon Sept 25, Magen's Bay
For those of you not flying out Monday morning... Nothing better than a greasy friend egg sandwich to cure 3 days of rum punch and painkillers. The beach opens at 9am, breakfast is served starting at 930. Don't arrive after 945 or you might get stuck in the entry line for the park area behind all the safaris coming from the cruise ships.
To Make a Reservation or Ask a Question:
Don't forget passports. Bug Spray, a small flashlight. Portable charger for your phone (not a lot of outlets where we are going). Sunscreen. Snack bars for eating off hours since not many places will be open.
